A Personal note to our students and instructors...

I would sincerely like to thank our 5,000+ Costume Classroom students since Jan. 2001. We have had students from all over the world. Many became our personal friends and some became our instructors. I had kept a global map with a dot per student of every country that our students lived. We were so excited to watch the dots fill up the map. For a swan song, our last student was from Australia and her instructor lived in Washington state.

In 1996, while I was taking a global marketing class in college, my professor stated that international marketing will never work because of the language and currency issues. Five years later, one of our CC instructors lived in Belguim and had students from 5 countries in one class.

Indeed in 2001, when I started the CC, we were blazing a new path for costume education online. It still marvels me that our instructors taught their students how to make a costume or accessory online. The instructors were great at virtual hand holding, lots of patience, and guts to believe in the new idea of virtual learning. Our instructors are jewels in a beautiful tiara. I can never thank them enough.

Lastly, many, many thanks to Jana Susan Bosarge for assisting me in setting up and the upkeep of the Costume Classroom in the early years. We spent many all-nighters working on the classrooms.

My sincere love, Penny Ladnier
